The $12.4 million school building, which was completed in 1969, was built for 1,800 students.

Ten-year-old Dorian Deaver sold $1,020 worth of mints in the YM-YWCA "Earn Your Way to Camp" sale, taking top salesman prize of a new sleeping bag. The son of Mr. and Mrs. George Deaver of 1610 Pontiac was one of 136 area youngsters who earned a total of $4,923 toward their camp tuition, selling an average of 90 boxes apiece. Tanya Maslak, 8, and Michael Maslak Jr., 11, whose parents are Mr. and Mrs. Michael Maslak Sr. of 754 Archwood, took top prizes in their age groups by selling 312 and 696 boxes of mints apiece, respectively, and David Young, son of Mrs. Doris Young of 907 Hutchins sold 360 boxes to win first place in the 9-10 year olds category. The three were awarded cameras. Gross mint sales totaled $12,308 this year - more than double the $5,894 earned last year. Many of the participants are also paying the way of friends.

Above left, University plant department workers Earl Mallory and Cecil Vincent try to remove a crudely splotched "S" from the Rackham Building, which was badly defiled. WHERE FOUR WERE INJURED: Photographer Maiteland LaMotte of The Ann Arbor News climbed half-way up a utility pole with his camera Saturday to catch this all-inclusive shot of the scene of a car-milk truck accident on US-12 four miles west of Ann Arbor. Four persons were injured in the mishap. Sheriff's deputies said the accident occurred when the milk truck on the right was hit in the rear by the car at the left which is partially obscured by curious spectators.

Getting Ready For Parade Working to complete their homecoming float in time for judging Friday are Huron High School seniors. They are building the float at the house of Jon Martin, 1565 Roxbury Rd. The floats will be judge at 4 p.m. on E. Keech Street between Main Street and Greene Street. The parade will begin at 5:30 p.m. with floats traveling east on Keech to Green, north on Green to Hoover Avenue, east on Hoover to Division Street, north on Divison to Liberty Street, west on Liberty to Main and south on Main to Pioneer High.
